The process is called the billing cycle, in this process the medical professional diagnose the patient and then send the report to the medical biller along with the treatment prescription, according to the patient’s medical history his level of service is then determined, this level is then translated by the medical coder into a five digits code that has a corresponding meaning in the insurance company’s database. The coder also translates his diagnostics into another code that also has a corresponding meaning in another database. These two codes are matched together to determine the standard payments for such conditions. And it is the medical biller who claims the payments as a represented for the medical organization through these codes.

Before a person applies for a job he must be qualified enough to fit in and be able to do the tasks he would be asked for, and above all get past the interview with his resume. This why the training for the medical billing and coding exam is very important before applying to this job, as the training would qualify you for the exam that would determine if the medical organization could depend on you in translation or not, as any error can start problems between the insurance company and the medical organization and could be considered cheating.
